About Mon Ami

Mon Ami is a French-inspired restaurant with a long-standing history in the heart of Bodø. Our story began in June 1993, when we first opened our doors in Glasshuset. In 2011, we expanded with a second location at City Nord, coinciding with the shopping centre’s major renovation and growth.

From the beginning, our vision has been to create an inviting atmosphere inspired by the flavors and charm of France. The original menu featured classics like frog legs, garlic-gratinated snails, and French onion soup—accompanied by the soulful voice of Edith Piaf in the background.

In 1998, the current owners took over and continued to evolve the concept. While the menu has seen fresh additions and some classics have made way for new favorites, the spirit of Mon Ami remains unchanged—delicious food served in a warm, French-inspired setting.

In 2020, we closed our original location in Glasshuset to focus fully on our flagship restaurant at City Nord, which was renovated and upgraded to better serve our guests.

Today, Mon Ami is proud to be one of Bodø’s most beloved dining spots, offering a rich and varied selection for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Our menu is ever-evolving, with several signature dishes becoming local legends—like our Mon Ami Pita, Crispy Chicken Salad, Garlic Baguette, House Baguette, Maison Burger, and the famous Mon Ami Steak.

And there’s some truth in one of our favorite sayings:
"You haven’t really been to Bodø until you’ve had a Baked Potato at Mon Ami."

Our newest addition, the Gangstertoast, is already making waves—trust us, you’ll want to try it.

At Mon Ami, we believe in one simple philosophy:
Homemade, flavorful food made with love.
